Starting business in 1976 as a sub-contractor providing a construction labour service to larger engineering and construction companies, Colin Walz has taken Walz Group from its humble beginnings to be a lead provider in industrial construction services throughout Australia.
Colin has successfully adapted Walz Group’s business model over the last 40 years to better meet market demands and client needs, which has seen the establishment of the company’s own fabrication workshop, blast and paint shop, and specialist piping and engineering facilities, along with marine and logistics capabilities as part of its extensive portfolio of specialist services.
Mark has more than 20 years’ management experience across the construction, engineering and corporate advisory sectors, providing strategic advice on the negotiation and management of multi-million dollar projects.
His depth of experience has seen Mark hold senior leadership roles including Principal of Tactix Corporate Advisory, CEO of Swift Group and senior financial and general management positions within Network Ten.
Warren, a chartered accountant since 1978, spent ten years in the accounting profession in Sydney, Canberra and on the NSW Central Coast before moving into commerce and a career with a focus on change management, mergers and acquisitions and turnarounds. Enterprises have been broadly based with a mixture of family, large private, public and private equity ownership. Industry exposure has also been broadly based with involvement in Australia and overseas at CFO and CEO levels in manufacturing and distribution, automotive, printing, retail hardware and building supplies, construction, mining services, transport and tourism.
Warren is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He has been a professional director since 2008. In addition to chairing the Walz Group advisory board, Warren chairs the board of privately owned trade printer, LEP Colour Printers Investments Pty Ltd and is a director of ASX listed motorcycle retailer, Motorcycle Holdings Ltd.
Christine has more than 18 years’ experience in the construction industry, having held a number of roles in the Walz Group, including the role of Project Manager of key construction projects. In addition to her role on the Board, Christine continues to provide a range of consultancy services to the Walz Group.
